Gregory Dow, 61, and his family traveled from Lancaster County to Boito, Kenya to start an orphanage known as the Dow Family Children’s Home, in 2008, according to Acting United States Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams. An American man identified as Gregory Dow has been sentenced to over 15 years in prison plus a lifetime of supervised release, for engaging in illicit sexual conduct in Kenya. According to a statement by The United States Department of Justice, the court also ordered Dow, to pay a total of $16,000 in restitution. Investigation by FBI’s Philadelphia Field office with assistance from Kenyan authorities and local law enforcement in Lancaster County revealed that the 61-year old Dow travelled to Kenya in 2008 to start an orphanage with his wife.
