New Delhi, Apr 22 (PTI) IT industry body Nasscom on Thursday said it has appointed Accenture in India Senior Managing Director Rekha Menon as its Chairperson for 2021-22.
She is the first woman to take on the role of Chairperson for Nasscom in the association s 30-year history.
Menon will take the position from her previous role as Vice-Chairperson, succeeding UB Pravin Rao (Infosys Chief Operating Officer). Rao served as the Chairman of Nasscom for the year 2020-21, a statement said. ....

The National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) on Thursday appointed Rekha M. Menon, chairperson and senior MD at Accenture in India, as its chairperson for 2021-22. She would succeed U.B. Pravin Rao, chief operating officer, Infosys.
“It was critical to cautiously navigate as the pandemic continued to test the resilience of more than four million people, even as it created new opportunities for growth with technology emerging as the lifeline for societies and economies across the world,” said Ms. Menon.
Nasscom also appointed Krishnan Ramanujam, president and head of business and technology services, Tata Consultancy Services, as vice-chairperson for FY22. ....

The National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) has appointed Rekha M Menon as Chairperson for 2021-22, making her the first woman to this position in the association’s 30-year history.
The IT industry’s apex body has also named Krishnan Ramanujam as Vice-Chairperson for 2021-22.
Menon is the chairperson and senior managing director at Accenture in India, and Ramanujam is the President and Head of Business and Technology Services at Tata Consultancy Services, Nasscom said in a statement. ....

The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), India s representative body of the IT/ITES industry, announced the appointment of Rekha M. Menon, Chairperson and Senior Managing Director at Accenture in India, as its chairperson for a tenure of one year (2021-22).
Rekha takes on the new role from outgoing chairperson UB Pravin Rao. She was earlier the vice chairperson of the body. She will also be the first woman to take on the role of a chairperson in the association s 30-years history.
