Actor Owen Wilson is Now Hanging Out In North Greenbush Marley and Me, Paint in and around the Capital Region. Owen Wilson stars as Carl Nargle, veteran host of Vermont’s most popular painting show, think a blonde, crooked-nosed Bob Ross, who must deal with a younger, more accomplished painter coming in and stealing his thunder. Michaela Watkins from Saturday Night Live playing the new, younger painter and Wendi McLendon-Covey from The Goldbergs in it as well. Also, Steve Root from Office Space plays the owner of the Vermont PBS station that Wilson works at. So far Owen Wilson is the only star from the show seen around town. Owen was spotted in Saratoga Springs shooting scenes with his big afro and 70s clothes. He also has been seen in a pretty sweet 70s custom van too. ....

In conjunction with Crime Victimsâ Rights week, The DWI Victim Memorial on Congress Street was held to memorialize those lost to such a senseless crime. While, thankfully, there have been no DWI-related deaths this year in the county, the event served as an important reminder of the consequences of drinking and driving. Mary Kopley of Loudonville was surprised to get some letters from the Labor Department about benefits she never applied for. I got two letters a couple of weeks ago on the same day from the Department of Labor. They were postmarked a week apart. I opened the earliest postmark, and it said that they needed more information to continue processing my claim, said Kopley. Obviously I had not filed a claim. The second letter said to please disregard anything, that it appeared that I was a victim of fraud and that I didn t have to do anything else. That was it. A week later, I got the third letter, which included the debit card that tells me that I had been approved for unemployment insurance, and please activate this card. ....
