Lafayette's Moncus Park executive director, founder change roles

Part of the strategy for opening Moncus Park, set to open in late 2021, includes new leadership roles.
This summer, current Executive Director Elizabeth E.B. Brooks will transition into her new role as founder. Current Operations Director JP MacFadyen will become Moncus Park s new executive director.
MacFadyen has been with Lafayette Central Park Inc., the nonprofit tasked with building and operating the park, for about two years and has an MBA, with a background in operational leadership, business, and supply chain logistics.
Brooks will continue to support the organization as founder with the design and construction of Phase 3, a news release stated. She will also have a hand in fundraising efforts and sharing institutional knowledge with new board and staff members. ....

San Antonio artists create murals to increase COVID-19 vaccine awareness


The City of San Antonio collaborated with local artists to launch phase two of its award-winning COVID-19 prevention campaign entitled “What Will It Take” (WWIT). (KSAT)
SAN ANTONIO – Several local artists collaborated with the City of San Antonio to help increase awareness about the importance of getting vaccinated to help decrease the spread of COVID-19.
The artists created murals that helped launch Phase 2 of the city’s COVID-19 prevention campaign entitled “What Will It Take.”
San Antonio artist Alex Rubio created a mural as part of a collaboration with the City of San Antonio to increase community awareness of the importance of the COVID-19 vaccine. The mural can be seen in the District 5 area. (KSAT) ....
