PPP workers protest Gandapur’s diatribe Our correspondent By PESHAWAR: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Friday staged a protest to condemn Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur’s diatribe against Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. In the provincial capital, the PPP workers, carrying banners and chanting slogans, gathered outside the Peshawar Press Club. Speaking on the occasion, Zulfiqar Afghani and others asked the minister to tender an apology. “Bhutto was a great leader and we can’t tolerate such remarks against our leaders,” he added. PPP provincial president Humayun Khan announced the decision to stage a protest at a news conference at Peshawar Press Club on Thursday. ....
CHITRAL/LOWER DIR: Hundreds of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) workers demonstrated in Chitral on Friday against federal minister Ali Amin Gandapur over his scathing remarks against founder of their party and former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. Led by PPP provincial deputy information secretary Salim Khan and local leaders Fazle Rabbi Jan, Alam Zeb, Qazi Faisal and others, the protesters marched on the Shahi Qila Road and gathered outside the press club. They trampled the effigy of Gandapur down and shouted slogans against him for calling Bhutto a traitor. Mr Salim said the party workers won’t tolerate the use of foul language against their leader, who initiated the country’s nuclear programme at the cost of his life. ....
PPP leader blasts govt for abandoning uplift projects in Chitral July 14, 2021 CHITRAL: Former provincial minister Salim Khan on Tuesday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had abandoned the ongoing development projects let alone initiating mega schemes in the Upper Chitral and Lower Chitral districts. “Our both the districts are still faced with backwardness despite the eight years of the PTI government in the province,” he told a press conference here. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) local activists Engr Fazal Rabi Jan, Alamzeb advocate, Muhammad Hakim advocate, Qazi Faisal and others were also present.
