Flames And Lady Flames Named All-Academic Track & Field Athletes Monday, July 26, 2021 The All-Academic Teams and All-Academic Athletes for the 2021 NCAA Division II Track & Field seasons were announced last week by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Both the Lady Flames and Flames were All-Academic Teams and combined to account for eight All-Academic Athletes. The Lady Flames recorded a cumulative GPA of 3.48, while the Flames garnered a cumulative GPA of 3.24 to become eligible for the All-Academic Teams designation. For a team to be named an NCAA Division II All-Academic Team, the cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the institution’s NCAA squad list for indoor and/or outdoor track & field must be 3.0 or higher. ....
Lee In Third Place After Day One Of 2021 Gulf South Outdoor Track Championships Friday, April 30, 2021 he Lee University men’s track & field team positioned five runners in the top eight of the 10000-meter run to grab a third place standing following the first day of the 2021 Gulf South Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Flames accumulated 36.5 points in four scored events with 22 coming from the 10K and 14.5 from the high jump. Alabama Huntsville garnered 49 of its 69 points from the discus and hammer throws.
