2021 Free Agency: Which EDGE Defenders Make Sense For the Jaguars?

2021 Free Agency: Which EDGE Defenders Make Sense For the Jaguars? If the Jaguars are going to be in the EDGE market next week, which pass-rushers should they pursue? Author: Mar 13, 2021 Two of the most important members of the Jacksonville Jaguars defense are edge defenders Josh Allen and K Lavon Chaisson, two of the team s three first-round draft picks over the last two drafts. But even with these two in the fold, are we so sure the Jaguars are done at the position?  Every great defense has multiple pass-rushers, especially when it comes to players who can play on the edge. Rudolph has spent his entire 10-year NFL career in Minnesota, earning two Pro Bowl nods and helping lead the Vikings to three playoff berths.    Rudolph was set to give Minnesota a $9.45 million cap hit in 2021, but now the Vikings will save $5.1 million after his release.  Rudolph was a fan favorite in Minnesota, and he even penned a letter thanking the organization, fans, and community in The Player s Tribune. SEATTLE The Seattle Seahawks cleared more than $14 million in cap room when they released defensive end Carlos Dunlap earlier this week. It didn t take long for observers to start connecting the imaginary dots and assuming the Seahawks were freeing up money to get quarterback Russell Wilson some high-priced help on the offensive line. To be sure, the savings from Dunlap s release would be enough to help the Seahawks make a run at one of the big-named offensive linemen who are about to hit free agency such as center Corey Linsley (an All-Pro with the Green Bay Packers last season) or left guard Joe Thuney (who just played on the franchise tag with the New England Patriots). Those are the two positions where Seattle is unsettled up front.
