With the 2021 NFL Draft firmly in the Eagles’ rearview mirror, I’m going to fire off some takes about how the last few days have transpired for the Birds:
The Eagles did the right thing on Day 1
It’s something I harped on during the entire lead-up to the draft: don’t overthink it. Don’t go full galaxy brain. Don’t try to be the smartest person in the world. Don’t zig for the sake of zigging. Just draft the guy who freaking balls out.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. The first round may be over, but the Broncos chances to add a first-round talent are not.
General Manager George Paton said Thursday night that the Broncos still have three or four players on their board with first-round grades, and they could have a chance to add one of those players when Round 2 begins on Friday evening.
No matter how the board falls, the Broncos should be poised to add an impact player. Denver is slated to make the 40th-overall pick the eighth selection of the round and Paton said the team has eight players that they really like.

CLEVELAND, Ohio The Browns are so ready for the NFL Draft and so organized, that GM Andrew Berry’s wife Brittan even had their third child, Eden Ruth, at 8:10 a.m. Thursday eight hours before the start of the draft.
Talk about efficient!
It enabled Berry to not only be there for the special delivery, but also to run the draft Thursday night from Browns headquarters in Berea, and to be front and center to make the No. 26 overall pick. The question is, what will the Browns do with that pick?

Another day, another 2021 NFL draft report about the Atlanta Falcons potentially taking Kyle Pitts. This likely won’t even be the last one we share today, either.
This time, it comes from ESPN reporters Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano, who say they feel the expectation right now is that, barring a big trade, the Falcons will stand pat and take Pitts with the fourth overall selection in Thursday night’s draft.
