FRANKFORT Facing pressure from Kentucky s education chief and many of the state s largest education groups, Gov. Andy Beshear is weighing a potential veto on a controversial school choice bill that landed on his desk late Tuesday night. 
A spokesman said Wednesday that Beshear is concerned the Republican-led legislature did not increase funding for public schools but instead passed legislation to create tax credits to privately fund education expenses, including private school tuition in some of Kentucky s largest counties. ....

FRANKFORT   After three hours of discussion and a frenzy of attempted amendments, the Kentucky House passed an omnibus school choice bill Thursday evening. 
In a major last-minute amendment, families would be able to use education opportunity accounts to cover private school tuition but only in Jefferson, Fayette and Kenton counties. ....
