London, June 5 (IANS) No play was possible due to rain on the third day of the first England-New Zealand Test here on Friday. Now, the fourth and fifth day s play will have extended play and 98 overs will have to be bowled on each day, weather permitting.

Kelly Pearce: Another family which likely will not vacation in the valley anymore

I have been visiting Conway several times a year for over 20 years now. It started with just me and my husband so we stayed at local hotels. As our family grew we found that hotels were just not enough so we began renting houses.
Going to Conway is so many things to us, we ski in the winter, go tubing and hiking in the summer and enjoy the beautiful view in the fall. We love visiting all the local shop (Sherman Farms, Zebâs, the Penguin store and of course the outlets) There are so many wonderful restaurants we visit every trip (Delaneyâs, The Moat and, of course, the Muddy Moose) ....

Conway releases 30-day notice to STR owners

CONWAY â On Friday, the town released hundreds of notices to short-term property owners, informing them that such rentals must be owner-occupied.
The letter, signed by code officer David Pandora, says, âWe would prefer to achieve voluntary compliance as opposed to an enforcement action. Please let us know your position within 30 days of the date of this letter.â
The letter is the result of an April 13 town vote in which a majority of residents opted not to alter town zoning to explicitly allow short-term rentals in residential zones.
Proponents of short-term rentals say they should still be legal under existing zoning. ....
