Share COLUMBUS, Ohio – Four members of the Ohio State women’s basketball team were among the players honored on Monday by the Big Ten Conference. The group was highlighted by junior forward Dorka Juhasz who was named first team All-Big Ten for the second consecutive season. Juhasz was named to the first team by the league’s 14 head coaches and was on the second team in the media vote. Sophomore guard Jacy Sheldon was a second team honoree by both the coaches and media while fellow sophomore guard Madison Greene garnered honorable mention honors. Freshman Kateri Poole was named the All-Big Ten Freshman Team by the coaches. ....
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State’s Braxtin Miller scored 23 points and dished-out a season-high six assists but Indiana’s big run late allowed the Hoosiers to pull away for an 87-75 victory. The Buckeyes fall for the first and only time at home this season and are now 13-6 overall and 9-6 in the conference. Ohio State closed the third quarter on a 14-4 run and led 56-51 heading to the fourth quarter. After a back and forth start to the fourth, Indiana went on a 14-0 run to build a 10-point lead and the Buckeyes were only able to get two field goals over the final six minutes of play. ....

The Hoosiers have won their last six games with their last loss occurring at home against these Buckeyes, 78-70. February has not been kind to the Buckeyes, who are just 3-4 on the month. The Hoosiers are led by three players in double-figure scoring this season: Mackenzie Holmes with 17.6 points, Grace Berger with 14.7 points, and Ali Patberg with 13.6 points. Holmes also contributes 7.5 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per contest. Berger leads the team with 5.3 assists and is second in rebounding with 6.8 rebounds. Patberg has reached double figures in scoring in every game over the Hoosiers’ current win streak after struggling in the loss against the Buckeyes. ....
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State returns home for potentially its final home game of the season when it hosts No. 11 Indiana on Saturday. The Buckeyes have won 15 consecutive games against the Hoosiers, a streak dating back to 2010. Tip-off Saturday is set for 3 p.m. and BTN will have the coverage. Ohio State and Indiana will be meeting on Saturday afternoon for the 81st time. The Buckeyes lead the all-time series 59-21 and have won the last 15 games between the two teams. The 15-game streak is the longest current streak against any Big Ten opponent. The last OSU loss to Indiana came back in 2010 and the Buckeyes have not lost to Indiana in Columbus since 2002. ....
Penn State women’s basketball (9-11, 6-10 Big Ten) took down No. 15 Ohio State (13-5, 9-5 Big Ten) 69-67 Wednesday afternoon in the Bryce Jordan Center. The upset marks the first victory over a top 15 team for the Lady Lions in five years, and the first triumph over the Buckeyes since 2014. After trailing 15-2 early in the first quarter, the Lady Lions exploded in the half’s final 15 minutes to take a slim 31-30 advantage entering the locker room. Despite giving up several spirited runs at the hands of the talented Buckeyes, Penn State was able to regain the lead with 1:01 remaining to capture the two-point upset. ....
