'Infected others': New exposure sites | Whitsunday Times

Kmart, Coles and Bunnings outlets are among exposure sites flagged as tier-1 after a hotel quarantine worker in Melbourne has tested positive for COVID-19, Victoria s health department has confirmed.
Premier Daniel Andrews said the infected worker was a 26-year-old man from Melbourne s Noble Park who was working for the Australian Open quarantine program.
In a snap press conference overnight, he said we have to assume that this person has infected others and stressed the need for residents to check if they had attended exposure sites.
He urged people to get tested if they have symptoms first thing tomorrow morning . He said more sites could be added to the list and at 1.30am new exposure sites were added to the list. ....

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has urged caution in the face of a new case of COVID-19 in a hotel quarantine worker and asked anyone who has visited exposure sites to self-isolate for 14 days.
Public health teams are continuing to identify a list of exposure sites linked to the new case.

TOUCH-FREE pedestrian crossing signals are set to be installed across the Kingston local government area.
The new signals will be installed in Aspendale at 67 Station St and 101 Station St/Laura Street, in Chelsea at Thames Prom/73 Mulkara Drive, Chelsea Heights at 217 Thames Promenade, Mordialloc at Governor Rd/26 Park Street, Cheltenham at 1 Bernard Street and 94 Bernard Street, and Clayton South at 24 Fairbank Road and 80 Fairbank Road.
Kingston Mayor Steve Staikos said that council “decided to trial touch-free pedestrian signals to help reduce any local spread of COVID-19 or other infectious diseases.
