USF Sarasota-Manatee graduation On Saturday, the University of South Florida will hold its first in-person commencement ceremony since the pandemic arrived last spring. Graduates from all three campuses will receive their diplomas in one ceremony, set for Saturday at the Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. When USF Sarasota-Manatee had independent accreditation, the school would have its own graduation ceremony. Last July, the three independent USF campuses merged as part of a consolidation plan that had been in the works for the past couple of years. The single commencement is symbolic that students are graduating from USF, which is now considered a single entity. The university no longer calculates how many students are graduating from the Sarasota-Manatee, St. Petersburg or Tampa campuses, university spokesman Shawn Ahearn said. ....
