Ten Ways to See Great Art in Denver This Weekend

Aspen artist Jody Guralnick, whose nature-based fantasies were on display recently at the Denver Botanic Gardens and are currently at Michael Warren Contemporary Art, and who served in RedLine’s S Park Visiting Artist Program this month, will be feted at a collaborative reception hosted by all three local institutions. Get to know Guralnick during her artist talk and over cocktails at RedLine before she hightails it back up to the mountains.

NEW EXHIBIT NOW OPEN AT THE UCROSS ART GALLERY – Sheridan Media


The current exhibit at the Ucross art gallery features three artists in residence at the Foundation. There will be a public reception to take place on July 30 from 5-7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The exhibit will run from May 14 through August 27. The exhibit features work by Monica J. Brown, from Chicago, Ill., Sheridan native and teacher at Sheridan College, Brittney Denham-Whisonant, and Bill Will from Portland, Oregon.
Tracey Kikut, Program Director said that two artists, Denham-Whisonant and Brown, will be in attendance, and willing to talk about their artwork. “Bill Will won’t be able to make it, but Brittney and Monica will be here.” Kikut, said. ....

Art in Flux, as London’s foremost forum for pioneering media arts, will showcase artists from the underrepresented spectra of society and provide a bridge between media artists and established art institutions, reclaiming visibility for new stories within the art world.
The exhibition will premier Transcendence VR, from London-based experiential powerhouse Kimatica Studio. A 360-degree video media performance, Transcendence explores how the combination of live performance art and interactive technologies can induce altered states of consciousness.
