Following more than an hour of discussion, and strong objections to the proposed 2-cent tax increase from two members of the town council and a few residents, the Ocean View Town Council this week approved the Townâs 2022-fiscal-year operating budget on a 3-2 vote. Mayor John Reddington and Councilmen Frank Twardzik and Tom Maly voted in favor, and Councilmen Bert Reynolds and Bruce White were opposed when they voted at the Tuesday, April 13, council meeting. The Operating Budget is $4.9 million, and the Capital Expenditures Budget is $1.9 million. âThe vote was not easy.
