At Keystone Resort, that includes the return of the downhill bike park and the Keystone Ranch golf course. “This summer, we look forward to bringing back a wider variety of activities at both resorts,” Vail Resorts spokesperson Sara Lococo wrote in an email. Daily lift service for Breckenridge Ski Resort’s summer Epic Discovery on-mountain operations will begin June 18 and run through Sept. 6. The resort will also open for an additional weekend Sept. 10-12. Keystone will open for summer June 24, operating Thursdays through Sundays through Labor Day. ....

A-Basin’s projected tentative closing date is June 6. As of this week, 10 Colorado ski areas have closed for the season and five more will close this weekend, leaving 13 remaining open into mid-April or beyond. Four are expected to be open in May: Loveland, Winter Park, Arapahoe Basin and Breckenridge. Above-normal temperatures and below-normal precipitation are predicted in one-month and three-month weather forecasts by the Climate Prediction Center of the National Weather Service, with drought persisting in the state. ....

The program allows restaurants to reopen to in-person dining at 25% capacity or 50 people, whichever is fewer, despite the county being in level red on the state’s COVID-19 dial. The catch is that restaurants have to comply with more stringent regulations than those required for in-person dining in level orange, including spacing tables and parties at least 10 feet apart, screening customers and employees for symptoms, and gathering contact information to help with contact tracing. If Summit County eventually moves into level orange, businesses in the five-star program can operate at capacities associated with level yellow. ....
