A song featuring a collaboration between top local band Red Electrick and Destiny Chukunyere, X Factor Malta Season 2 winner, has just been released. The track, Mistake, which forms part of Red Electrick’s award-winning album Tragic Optimistic, has been revamped to feature the distinctive and soulful vocals of Destiny. The track was released on radio airwaves on Monday along with a music video, directed by Steven Levi. The video also features the talented dance troupe Concept of Movement who wowed viewers of Malta’s Got Talent last year. The song was written by Joe Roscoe, Peter Borg, Aleandro Spiteri Monsigneur and Ivan Borg, and was produced and mixed by Peter Borg at local music studio Railway Studios. ....

Jomike u Lydon s comedy lyrics makkjetti have won them the first edition of Malta s Got Talent. The father and son duo were among nine finalists on Sunday s show with dance group Concept of Movement placing second and performer Ria Gauci third. The other competitors were another singing duo Ike and Kaya, singer Yulan Law, rapper Il-Lapes, pole-dancer Matthias Camilleri, dance academy Kinetic and fireworks beatboxer Joseph ‘il-Kapxi’ Mangion.

Just like that – the first edition of Malta’s Got Talent came to an end tonight as the final nine acts battled it out on the MFCC stage until it boiled down to the televote! We saw traditional Maltese folk, circus acts, precision movement, dancing, singing, rap, and fireworks too!
But, as the televoting closed, after another ad break, and a guest performance by Destiny, who got to show us what her Eurovision performance could have sounded like, MGT host revealed the top three acts which, in no particular order were, Concept of Movement, Jomike & Lydon, and Ria Gauci. ....
