This week on Malta’s Top 10, Joe Roscoe from the local band Red Electrick sat down with Jake to discuss their latest collabs if there are any new collaborated tracks in store for us, and what true success means to the singer and songwriter…
Following Red Electrick’s latest collaboration with Destiny on their track ‘Mistake’, we wanted to know how the collab came out. As Roscoe explained,
‘When we wrote the album, you write a song and think, “you know who I imagine on this track?” And it’s mentioned throughout the process a lot and then when you’re releasing singles, you choose favourites’.

Red Electrick releases brand new single Mistake with X-Factor Malta Season 2 Winner Destiny

Red Electrick released a brand new single featuring Malta’s powerhouse female vocalist and X-Factor Malta Season 2 Winner Destiny.
‘Mistake’ is one of the tracks featured on Red Electrick’s award-winning album ‘Tragic Optimistic’ and has been revamped to feature the distinctive and soulful vocals of Destiny.
The track which was released on Tuesday alongside the music video has Steven Levi Vella’s artistic imprint all over it. The video also features the talented dance troupe that wowed Malta on Malta’s Got Talent.
A song featuring a collaboration between top local band Red Electrick and Destiny Chukunyere, X Factor Malta Season 2 winner, has just been released.
The track, Mistake, which forms part of Red Electrick’s award-winning album Tragic Optimistic, has been revamped to feature the distinctive and soulful vocals of Destiny.
The track was released on radio airwaves on Monday along with a music video, directed by Steven Levi. The video also features the talented dance troupe Concept of Movement who wowed viewers of Malta’s Got Talent last year.
The song was written by Joe Roscoe, Peter Borg, Aleandro Spiteri Monsigneur and Ivan Borg, and was produced and mixed by Peter Borg at local music studio Railway Studios.
