LUBBOCK, Texas – Despite a career game from Holly Kersgieter, the Kansas Women’s Basketball team dropped a wildly entertaining contest Saturday afternoon at Texas Tech, falling 99-98 in overtime to the Lady Raiders. Kersgieter finished with career highs in points and rebounds with 29 and 16 respectively. Zakiyah Franklin added 20 points, while Aniya Thomas had 17 and Chandler Prater tied her career high with 14. Tied at 86 with 35 seconds left in regulation, Thomas hit a monster 3-pointer from the corner to give Kansas a three-point lead. But just four seconds later, Texas Tech hit a deep ball of its own to tie the game back up.
