Many of the existing diagnostics tests for Alzheimer s are expensive and invasive, but the ability to detect and measure biomarkers in a blood test could revolutionize the way scientists and clinicians approach the disease. medRxiv server describes the use of silver amplification technology to develop a sensitive, rapid antigen test for COVID-19.
The only methods to contain the current pandemic are non-pharmaceutical, given that there are no specific and effective antivirals and that the first vaccines are only now being administered.
