Claymark will provide programme support for up to 800 local students within the Bay of Plenty.

Under an indigo dawn sky, Kelly Smith from the New Zealand Navy gave a chilling reminder of the human sacrifice of war at Katikati s Anzac Day Dawn Service in front of a 300-strong crowd at Memorial Square on Sunday.
The Lieutenant Commander said April 25 saw the first significant engagement of New Zealand troops in the First World War when they landed at Gallipoli.
By the end of that fateful day, more than 600 New Zealanders had been killed or wounded - more than in the three years of the South African Boer War. ....

Western Heights High School students Ashton McGarvie and Zach Jans achieved scholarship last year.
Despite a tough and unprecedented year in 2020, Rotorua students continued to excel in their academic ventures.
More than 10,400 students entered New Zealand Scholarship examinations last year, and of those who sat them, 2148
students were awarded one or more scholarships across the 36 subjects.
New Zealand Scholarship assesses students on their ability to demonstrate high-level critical thinking, abstraction and generalisation.
John Paul College topped the list of Bay of Plenty recipients with students achieving 15 Scholarships and three Outstanding Scholarships. ....

Tauranga Boys College now city s largest school, provisional roll data reveals

Tauranga Boys College will soon boast the city s largest school roll, according to the Ministry of Education s provisional roll data for 2021.
The figures, released to the Bay of Plenty Times last month, show the
city s schools continue to grow and total student numbers are expected to reach 33,821.
About 659 of those will be new this year.
The provisional school roll numbers are estimates and may change.
Tauranga Boys College is estimated to take on the biggest roll, about 2000 students this year, overtaking previous largest, Otumoetai College, by about 180, according to the provisional figures. ....
