Date Time Man arrested or Breach of Emergency Management Act A 37-year-old man has been arrested, charged and refused bail after failing to comply with the emergency management quarantine directions upon arriving in Western Australia. The Vietnamese National is a crew member aboard a bulk carrier ship that berthed at the Albany Port on 7 January 2021. Crew members are not permitted ashore onto WA land. It is alleged the 37-year-old man jumped into the water on Saturday, 9 January 2021 and swam ashore in contravention of the Controlled Border for Western Australia Directions and the Maritime Crew Directions.
