I am always thinking of ways to get my taste of summer all while staying in Louisiana. Have you seen gas prices lately? Turns out, Louisiana has a hidden gem that many Louisianians who love seashells have kept a secret. Leave it to me to find out all about Rutherford Beach. I stumbled upon a post on Instagram and now I m determined to visit this hidden beach.

That sign traveled 800 miles from Dauphin Island to the coast of Texas! Julie and Billy Lindsey own Dauphin Island Harbor House and they say the sign fell during Hurricane Sally and floated away during Hurricane Zeta. They say the sign was special to them and they did not expect it to be found months later. Chrissy found them on Facebook and sent a message.
