May 11, 2021 Keokuk, Ia- The Lee County Narcotics Task Force has reported the arrests of multiple Keokuk residents on felony and misdemeanor drug charges. 59-year-old Kenneth Howell of Keokuk was arrested on Thursday, May 6th 2021, at his residence in the 1100 block of Concert Street in Keokuk. Howell was charged with Delivery of over 5 grams of Methamphetamine, 2nd or subsequent offense; Possession with Intent to Deliver less than 5 grams of methamphetamine, 2nd of subsequent offense; Drug tax Stamp Violation, Maintaining a Drug House, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Pills, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Two Keokuk Juveniles were also arrested on Friday, May 7th 2021 at HyVee in Keokuk. The two juveniles were charged with Possession with intent to deliver Marijuana, Drug Tax Stamp Violation, Maintaining a Drug House, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Pills, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. ....

You can see the photo here. I hadn t heard of this company before so I dug around a little and found enough to satisfy my curiosity. The business, originally Newton, Jones & Willis, was active from the 1840s until the 1930s. and became one of the largest church furnishers in Britain. Apparently they were also Church Furnishers to the Queen . ....
