That happened in Beardstown on Nov. 21 when the Central Illinois Foodbank teamed with Mount Sterling-based Dot Food Inc. Because of traffic volume, the giveaway started an hour early and led foodbank partner resource coordinator Sarah Bermingham to surmise that no matter how much food it brings, we seem to always run out. I think definitely it is a reminder of the situation we re in, said Beth Wakefield, the foodbank s public relations manager. With the help of Lake Springfield Marina, the staff at Cafe Moxo will hand out over 200 meals on Monday, December 28, starting at 10:30AM outside of Cafe Moxo on Adams Street in Springfield. In case you’re unable to make it downtown in the morning, Cafe Moxo has announced that an additional 500 meals will be handed out starting at 4PM on Monday (December 28) on Adams Street. The handout will be a tribute to Nancy Sue Forinash, mother of Cafe Moxo owner Mark Forinash. ....
