The Pancretan Association of Melbourne support research for ovarian cancer treatment

Around 150 Pancretans of Melbourne and their friends came together to raise funds for Ovarian Cancer Australia on Sunday 11 July.
The afternoon high tea hosted at the Cretan Village in Wantirna south was a great success. The Association held a raffle, lucky door prizes and an auction, which featured prizes donated by a range of local businesses and people.

The program of the day included keynote speaker Dr Haider Najjar, and Obstetrician-Gynecologist who with his presentation kept the audience engaged and at the end gave the attendees the opportunity to ask their questions about ovarian cancer diagnosis, available treatment and fertility. ....

Long-awaited results of a major ovarian cancer study three decades in the making found screening women detected the disease before they developed symptoms but didn’t save lives.
The findings are a devastating blow for ovarian cancer researchers, patients and their supporters who had hoped the trial involving more than 200,000 women would lead to early diagnosis and ultimately national screening programs that would prevent thousands of ovarian cancer deaths every year.

Ovarian Cancer Australia (OCA) has teamed up with Keeping it Cleaner and undergarment brands Bonds, Bras N Things and Jockey to raise awareness and funds to support women living with ovarian cancer. 
In its second consecutive year, the Overies for Ovaries campaign sees Keep It Cleaner co-founders and trainer Laura Henshaw, Steph Claire Smith and Danny Kennedy front the campaign in the Overies undies. 
The Overies undies will be sold online and in-store by Bonds, Bras N Things and Jockey, with 100% of the profits going to OCA to support women living with Australia’s most deadly female cancer. ....
