January 24, 2021 A large crowd of people gathered across 128th Street in Harlem on Saturday night, standing directly in front of a liquor store where a 31-year-old mother was brutally beaten Monday. A shocking video surfaced of a young woman walking into a liquor store in Harlem when a man approached her offering to pay for her bottle of wine. When she declined the offer she was beaten and bitten by the suspects before they stole her phone and escaped. Since the attack, she’s been unable to open her injured eye. The demonstration was the end of a rally that began three blocks away as women, men and children stood on the corner, speaking out against violence targeting the neighborhood. ....
