Police: Men posed as contractors to get inside homes in Clinton, Eaton counties View Comments ONEIDA TWP. – Police are investigating a pair of incidents in which men posed as contractors to get inside homes and steal items in Eaton and Clinton counties on Thursday evening. Both incidents happened between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. – one in Oneida Township and the other about three miles away in Eagle Township, Michigan State Police said. In the Clinton County incident, the suspects assaulted residents who tried to stop the larceny, they said. In at least one case, the residents were lured outside while a suspect went inside and stole items, MSP Detective Sgt. Andrew Adamczyk said.
