CHARLOTTE Nearly two and a half years after being charged with stabbing his friend to death, a Lowell man is set to stand trial for murder.
Eaton County District Court Judge Julie O Neill determined Tuesday that there was enough evidence for Joseph Sadlak to stand trial for a murder charge stemming from the death of Clinton Decker in Oneida Township in December 2018.
Sadlak has spent much of the past two and half years in and out of psychiatric treatment facilities in an attempt to ensure he was mentally fit to stand trial. He was declared unfit to stand trial in April 2019, but has now regained mental competency.
