Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], April 4 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party delegation will meet Odisha Governor to submit a complaint against Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro for arbitrarily passing Bills in the house.
Speaking to ANI, the Leader of Opposition in the Odisha Assembly Pradipta Kumar Naik said, Speaker is not allowing the Opposition to speak in the houses. He is playing prejudice. We will submit a complaint with Governor regarding this. We will also request him to send back the Bills passed forcefully in the Assembly without holding a discussion in the house. ....

Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], April 4 (ANI): BJP MLAs who were suspended from the ongoing Budget session staged a demonstration near the statue of Mahatma Gandhi on the Assembly premises, protesting the suspension order.
We will sit on dharna the whole night. They (the ruling party) are trying to strangle us by not letting us speak in Vidhan Sabha. Speaker is also treating this matter casually. We will meet Governor and raise our concerns, Mukesh Mahaling, BJP MLA told ANI.

BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha Assembly on Saturday witnessed ugly scenes when some Opposition BJP MLAs allegedly hurled slippers, earphones, and papers at the Speaker’s podium protesting against the hurried manner in which the Odisha Lokayukta (Amendment) Bill was passed in the House.
Later in the afternoon, Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro suspended three BJP MLAs, deputy leader of the Opposition Bisnu Charan Sethi, Opposition chief whip Mohan Charan Majhi and former minister Jay Narayan Mishra after examining the video footage of the incident which took place in the pre-lunch session. The suspension will be in force till the end of the budget session which will conclude on April 6. ....
