Mysore/Mysuru: A 25-year-old woman, who had cheated many youths to the tune of lakhs of rupees after befriending them on
Facebook, has been arrested by Metagalli Police on Mar. 4.
As per a press release from the City Police Commissioner’s Office dated Mar. 16, the accused trickster is Megha alias Harini, wife of Vinod Kumar and a native of Magadi Town in Ramanagara district. She presently resides at Andarahalli in Bengaluru.
Following her arrest, City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta has urged youths not to accept friend requests from strangers and fall prey to criminals. ....

Following decrease in COVID-19 positive cases, devotees visiting Chamundi Hill Temples is increasing and hence, additional Police personnel will be deployed for security atop Chamundi Hill, said DCP (Law and Order) Dr. A.N. Prakash Gowda.
The DCP, who has issued circular to all Police Stations coming under KR Sub-Division, has stated in the circular that there were complaints that a large crowd of devotees was being witnessed at Chamundi Hill Temple on Fridays leading to heavy rush and has asked to deploy an Inspector, Sub-Inspector and 10 staff on security duty on rotation or shift basis. ....

Mysore/Mysuru: Cyclothon, Flash Mob, awareness rallies and special lectures by various Hospitals and organisations marked ‘
World Cancer Day’ in city this morning.
ClearMedi Radiant Hospital had organised a Cyclothon to create awareness on cancer, its causes, preventive measures and treatment options, which was flagged off by Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar. Speaking on the occasion, he said cancer, once termed as a dreaded disease, has now become a curable disease due to availability of new medicine in market.
The Cyclothon started from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple and passed through main roads of city.
