Kathryn Balonek, former contracting director for Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Far East, has assumed duty as NAVFAC Washington Contracting Business Line Leader. Balonek began her federal career at NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic in Norfolk, Va. in 2006 as an intern in the Naval Acquisition Development Program before graduating to the role of contract specialist. In 2012, she moved on to serve as a contract specialist for NAVFAC EUAFCENT in Naples, Italy, and remained there for three years. She returned to the United States to work at Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a supervisory contract specialist for a year before returning to NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic in 2016, this time as Contracting Division Director, A&E, Construction and Utilities. In 2018, she took over as Contracting Director for NAVFAC Far East. ....

Salesforce Tower now gives the company its second building in downtown Indianapolis, after Market Tower. Square Deal Director of Asset Management Andy Ridley says the company had been trying to expand its Indianapolis footprint for several years. “We are thrilled and honored to acquire the city’s trophy asset and are fortunate to have this rare opportunity. Indianapolis is characterized by its business opportunities and its citizens whose passion for their city make it an ideal place to live and work, and we are proud to continue planting roots here.” ....
