Jackson County United Way needs Annual Day of Caring volunteers

Courtesy-JCUW FB page SEYMOUR, Ind. – The 25th Annual Jackson County United Way (JCUW) Day of Caring is on Tuesday, May 11. While requests for projects are no longer being accepted, United Way Community Impact Director Stephanie Strothmann said JCUW is still looking for more volunteers. “We have around 50 projects with only 75 volunteers at this time. We would love to be able to double that number and have at least 150-200 helpers. Even though numbers are low, we are still hoping to make this a great event in celebration of its 25th year,” Strothmann continued. The projects that volunteers participate in can range from landscaping and gardening to painting and power washing. This year, per health department guidelines, all projects must be completed outside. JCUW is not accepting any other project requests at this time.
