MOSS POINT, Miss. (WLOX) - In the wake of recent violent crimes, people living in Moss Point are working to raise awareness with the goal of creating a safer city.
Following the shooting death of 19-year-old and the arrest of a 15-year-old in that murder, residents are speaking out, calling for everyone to step up and help put an end to the violence.
“How many more young men have to die until we finally come together as a community to hear and answer the cry for help?” questioned one comment on the WLOX Facebook page.

SEYMOUR, Ind. – Jackson County United Way (JCUW) has designed a new resource management database that is available to assist those needing help in the community.
Resource Round Up allows agencies and other organizations to list their services to Jackson County community members in need and is available 24/7.
Community members needing assistance will be able to access services that are listed on the database. Residents should be able to find assistance in areas such as clothing, food, health insurance, and more.
“We are proud to launch
Resource Round Up to ensure updated information for a variety of health and human service needs,” said JCUW Executive Director Tonja Couch.
