In the face of the continuing impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, effective Monday, January 4, the start of the new school term, some 129 schools are to offer face-to-face teaching and learning, the Ministry of Education has said.
The pilot initiative ended on December 18.
The ministry, in a statement on Thursday, said the schools will be allowed a two-week period from January 4 to 18, to fine-tune their preparations for schooling.
Education Minister, Fayval Williams, said the focus for this term is the preparation of students for exit exams this year. These exams include the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC), City and Guilds, CAPE, NCTVET and the Primary Exit Profile (PEP).  ....
