Tributes paid after sad passing of true Offaly Gael The late Bill Dolan ); ); TRIBUTES have been paid to the late Bill Dolan, a stalwart of the Offaly Association in Dublin over many decades. Bill, who passed away on Tuesday, June 8 last, was involved in all aspects of the Association and served in the position of Vice-President at the time of his death. A native of Clonlyn, Belmont, tribute has been paid to him by Pat Teehan, the Chairman of Leinster GAA Council, and a former Chairman and Secretary of the Offaly Association (Dublin). Chairperson and Roger Guiney, Tullamore Chamber President at the launcg of the 2019 award ); ); THE search continues for the 2020 Offaly Person of the Year while the presentation of the 2019 Offaly Person of the Year and the Offaly Unsung Hero awards will take place when Government Covid-19 allow, the organisers have pointed out. The gala presentation ceremony of the prestigious awards had to be cancelled on a number of occasions last year due to Covid-19 restrictions. The awards organisers, a sub-committee of the Offaly Association (Dublin), launched the search for the 2020 awards recipients last November. ....
