Krakow 2023 welcomes boxing as a part of sports program 04/23/21
AIBA President Umar Kremlev and Secretary General Istvan Kovacs visited National Olympic Committee in Warsaw to have an official meeting with President Andrzej Kraśnicki.
AIBA President expressed gratitude to the NOC of Poland for support in hosting the AIBA Youth World Championships in Kielce.
‘We are grateful to the Polish NOC for support in organising the AIBA Youth World Championships, which have been taking place here in Poland. Despite all possible difficulties in view of the pandemic, we made it possible to conduct such an important competition for our young generation of athletes.’ Mr. Kremlev claimed.

Nepal’s Susma Tamang has provided the International Boxing Association (AIBA) Youth World Boxing Championships in Kielce, Poland with one of its indelible moments as she became her country’s first-ever winner in the history of the competition.
Nepal sent two women boxers to the Championships after strong preparations in Kathmandu where their selection events have been held.
Tamang has developed well in terms of speed and punching power in recent years and she used the pandemic period to upgrade her skills.
The fruits of her labour became evident in her bout against Lithuania’s Dija Bajalyte who competed at the last edition of the European Youth Boxing Championships.
European Boxing Academy finally given green light after Kremlev backing Wednesday, 14 April 2021
An official agreement on the establishment of the long-planned European Boxing Academy in Italy was signed today by International Boxing Association (AIBA) President Umar Kremlev.
Kremlev took a break from the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships, which he had opened in in the Polish city of Kielce last night, to visit Assisi to meet the head of the city and region where the Academy will be located.
European Boxing Confederation (EUBC) demonstrated the initiative to establish the AIBA European Boxing Academy and the world governing body have decided to back the initiative.

Boxing and shooting have been announced as the latest sports to join the programme of the 2023 European Games in Kraków-Małopolska.
Both sports featured at the previous two European Games, held in Baku, Azerbaijan in 2015 and Minsk, Belarus in 2019 and have been confirmed as the seventh and eighth sports to join the programme for Kraków-Małopolska.
European Shooting Confederation (ESC) President Vladimir Lisin said he was pleased about the sport’s continued involvement in the multi-sport event. The ESC was one of the first to support the idea of the European Games and gave them a special importance from the very beginning, said Lisin.

The sports programme for the 3rd European Games in Kraków-MaÅ‚opolska is taking shape rapidly, with boxing and shooting becoming the latest Olympic sports to sign on for Europe’s leading multi-sports event for elite athletes in 2023.
The European Olympic Committees (EOC) reached agreements with the European Shooting Confederation (ESC) and European Boxing Confederation (EUBC) this week, making boxing and shooting the seventh and eighth sports included on the programme since December 2020.
