( MENAFN ) A local government spokesman Esmatullah Muradi said that more than 11 Afghans including six security staffs and five Taliban militants have been killed in a fighting than flared up in Imam Sahib District of the northern Kunduz province on Monday. As per the official, the clash erupted after a group of Taliban militants attacked security checkpoints in Makhmalkocha village of the restive district Monday morning, triggering a gun battle which lasted for a couple of hours and the militants fled away after leaving five bodies behind. The official said that six security personnel were also killed in the conflict. Three more security personnel and five militants had been injured in the firefight, the official stated, adding that the fighting is over and the insurgents fled away. ....
