The surviving victim suffered burns to his hands and should recover, according to police. A third worker was nearby but was uninjured. Police said the crew was performing underground electrical work at the time. The worker who died was leaning into a manhole when something happened, causing electricity to ignite, creating a sound similar to an explosion.
