BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - ABC stores across Alabama are looking to change your alcohol shopping experience with a new mobile app.
The Alabama Beverage Online Services or AL-BOSS, is a new smartphone app that allows customers to:
Search for available products sitting on every ABC store shelf in the state of Alabama (The app does not display allocated and private label products)
Find ABC stores nearest a userâs location
Learn the latest news concerning tastings and limited releases
Homewood bar has liquor license suspended after violating COVID-19 guidelines

HOMEWOOD, Ala. (WBRC) - A bar in Homewood right now cannot sell alcohol because state regulators say it violated COVID-19 guidelines.
The Grocery Brewpub received an âemergency suspensionâ of its liquor license after ABC Board inspectors witnessed COVID-19 violations multiple times.
A spokesperson from the ABC Board declined to speak on camera but confirmed the board received several complaints about the Grocery Brewpubâs failure to follow COVID-19 guidelines. Board inspectors visited the pub and said it was extremely crowded, patrons were not practicing social distancing and very few people were wearing masks.

ABC Board Co-President Susan Wilson said the job is “an amazing opportunity to make a difference in the lives of eight really motivated, hard-working, wonderful young ladies.”
The program has seen 52 participants attend four-year college programs, most of them the first in their families.
The program is accepting applications for resident directors for the remainder of the 2020-21 academic year and to continue as resident directors for the 2021-22 academic year.
Founded in 1963, A Better Chance is a national program created to give students of color from under-served communities a better opportunity to be successful in college.
