Gilbert, Winchester school boards remain divided on contract FacebookTwitterEmail WINSTED Tuition payments are one of the sticking points. Winchester Public Schools and Gilbert School board members this week tried again to reach a potential contract decision, but it could be some time before they reach any sort of agreement. Members of the ad-hoc committee, comprised of Winchester Superintendent of Schools Melony Brady-Shanley, Gilbert Superintendent of Schools Anthony Serio and members of both school districts’ boards, last met in November to negotiate a contract between the two entities. At that meeting, in its idea of contract negotiations, Winchester school board members pushed for an established tuition amount at the start of the budget process, asking Gilbert to accept a payment of $16,000 per student and setting that amount before the annual town and sch ....
