New Delhi, June 13 : The Delhi BJP on Sunday appealed to the Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal to put an end to the wastage of tonnes of food grains by the Chief Minister-led Arvind Kejriwal government which had been allocated by the Narendra Modi government.
Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri led a protest of BJP MLAs in the city food grains godown in Siraspur.
The saffron party claimed that the food grains found stored there that were allotted to the Kejriwal government during the 2020 lockdown for distribution among the poor were now decaying in these godowns.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is likely to take a final decision on the extension of the COVID-19 lockdown in the national capital on Sunday (May 9, 2021).

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said that the city government will provide Covid-19 vaccine to all Delhiites for free. Addressing the media here, Kejriwal also called for uniformity in prices of COVID-19 vaccines and urged the vaccine manufacturers to cut the price to Rs 150 per dose. Delhi government has decided to provide free vaccines to everyone above 18 years of age. Today, we have given the approval for the purchase of 1.34 crore vaccines. We will make an effort to ensure that it is purchased soon and administered at the earliest to people, he said.

New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government has set a three-year target to clean the Yamuna river. Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has meticulously worked on rejuvenating, ecologically restoring, and making the riverfront accessible to the public.
According to a report, the Delhi government has set a three-year target for the river cleaning process between Wazirabad Barrage to Okhla Barrage. The 22 km-long rejuvenated urban riverfront will also have cycling tracks, walkways, eco-trails to wetlands, and a floodplain forest.
