BIRMINGHAM On Friday, June 11 th at 8 p.m., weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will begin scheduled Concrete Bridge Deck repairs on the I-59 northbound and southbound bridges over Edwards Lake Road in Jefferson County as follows: The outside (right) shoulder of I-59 northbound over Edwards Lake Road (Milepost 137.4). The inside (left) lane of the northbound I-459 ramp to I-59 northbound. The outside (right) lane of I-59 southbound over Edwards Lake Road. (Milepost 137.4). All traffic lanes will be re-opened no later than 5 a.m. Monday, June 14 th. Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. Posted: May 19, 2021 More Crown land camping areas open to public as of May long weekend The 2021 Koocanusa Recreation Strategy has been updated and is now available for viewing and download at www.koocanusarecreation.ca. The strategy strives to support and manage Crown land recreation access and use in a way that maintains the ecological integrity, cultural values, recreation experience, and economic value of the Koocanusa area for current and future users. The 2021 Strategy is the result of extensive work, research, and public engagement over the last five years and will be implemented and enforced beginning immediately. In March, the Koocanusa Recreation Steering Committee (KRSC) presented its draft Strategy to the public and launched a month-long online survey and interactive map aimed at gathering feedback. From The Tribune staff reports TRUSSVILLE Several local Shell gas stations are running low or are completely out of gas. This includes stations in Trussville and surrounding areas. As of Monday, March 15, 2021, two Trussville Shell stations were out of gas. Those were the stations on Deerfoot Parkway and Hwy 11 and on Edwards Lake Road and Edwards Lake Parkway. The Shell on Chalkville Mountain Road and Frank Johnston Drive ran out of gas Saturday, but got a shipment on Monday morning.
