His wife, Heather Montgomery, is asking the community to keep her husband in their prayers as he battles COVID-19, and is optimistic that some recent minor improvements with his condition are a positive sign that he will recover from the virus. HENDERSON â Despite this yearâs COVID 19 pandemic, the Daisy Garden Club of Henderson, has remained true to carrying out its goal of being active and making a positive impact in the community. Recently, the club donated items to the Salvation Army seasonal project. Members would like to encourage other clubs to donate to various community organizations in need. Some of the club activities included: beautifying plots at Perry Memorial Library with Black-Eyes Susans, Sweet Williams and Liriope flowering plants and Davis-Royster Funeral Home with Begonias and Vinca flowering plants; virtually visiting members flower gardens; touring Mrs. Sylvia Wilsonâs flower gardens; acknowledging veterans with cards and calls; preparing food and goodie bags for the homeless; contributing financially to Shop with Cops, donating to Give Hope for The Holidays (food boxes, through Food Lion); and making pillowcase dresses to be donated to Haiti. ....
