The Journey to Fayetteville: Fabian Hewitt Ahead of the 2021 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., we’ll highlight each of Clemson’s six entries by recapping their spectacular indoor seasons thus far!  Fabian Hewitt has been a pillar of consistency throughout the 2021 campaign for the Clemson track and field program, having steadily contributed across various events. A top-class performance by Hewitt during the final of the 60 meters at the ACC Championships saw the senior from St. Catherine, Jamaica, capture his first ACC title and set a dazzling new personal best while punching his ticket to the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. But before competing against the conference’s finest, Hewitt began by competing on Jan. 9.

The Journey to Fayetteville: Giano Roberts Ahead of the 2021 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., we’ll highlight each of Clemson’s six entries by recapping their spectacular indoor seasons thus far!  Giano Roberts’ 2021 season can best be described as performing when it mattered most. Roberts arrived in Clemson this past summer as no stranger to the spotlight, as the junior transferred to Clemson as a decorated hurdler from his two years competing with Monroe College in Bronx, N.Y. Roberts’ first action as a Tiger came during the team’s Orange & Purple Elite on Jan. 9. It wasn’t until Clemson’s second meet, the Clemson Invitational, that Roberts’ true talent started to show. During the meet, Roberts ran 6.90 seconds in the 60 meters and 34.32 in the 300m, a sign of promising form from the native of Maplewood, N.J.

The Journey to Fayetteville: Terryon Conwell Ahead of the 2021 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., we’ll highlight each of Clemson’s six entries by recapping their spectacular indoor seasons thus far!  At the Orange & Purple Elite on Jan. 9, Terryon Conwell burst onto the scene for the Clemson Tigers by running a school record in the men’s 300 meters. By running 32.97 seconds to break the previous record by .23 and become the first Tiger to go sub-33, Conwell asserted himself as one of the top sprinters in the NCAA.  Conwell rode the momentum from his school-record performance into the Bob Pollock Invitational, Clemson’s fourth meet of the season. Conwell was only slated to contest one individual event at the meet, the 200m, and all indicators on the day pointed towards him recording an NCAA-qualifying time. The Journey to Fayetteville: Laurie Barton Ahead of the 2021 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., we’ll highlight each of Clemson’s six entries by recapping their spectacular indoor seasons thus far!  Laurie Barton has put together another stellar season of consistent and high-achieving performances throughout 2021. The Clemson native helped to rewrite the program’s record book alongside her teammates while repeatedly establishing herself as one of the best middle-distance runners in the country.  Barton will toe the start line at the 2021 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships as the second seed in the women’s 800 meters and a favorite to stand atop the event’s podium following Saturday’s final. After last year’s indoor championships came to a halt before ever getting underway, Barton has put together a stellar season that has prepared her to seize the opportunity when it presents itself later this week.
