Here’s how affordable housing is built in Central Florida
SANFORD, Fla. – A new study from the Orlando Regional Realtor’s Association shows the average cost of a house in Central Florida is $315,000, driven by the booming population growth even through the pandemic.
That growth is also driving up rent prices, now averaging $1536 as reported by CoStar group making finding affordable housing or rent nearly impossible for those who are either on fixed or lower incomes, like Thellis Houck.
“I had to go from apartment to apartment and they were way too much, $1,500 dollars a month, I can’t afford that,” Houck said. ....

Most broadcasters reporting on the Tokyo Games will have something in common with TV viewers: They’ll be watching the action from thousands of miles away.
Of the more than 175 commentators assigned to cover the competition for NBC, roughly the same number who were in Rio for the 2016 Olympics, only 75 will actually be in Japan. The rest will conduct interviews, offer play-by-play analysis and try to capture the excitement without ever having to pull out their passports.
It’s not as daunting as it sounds.
NBC Sports reporter Randy Moss made it to London for the 2012 Games. But he spent most of his airtime working out of a studio outside the sporting venues, relying on a bank of TV monitors to keep him up to date on several events at once. ....

TOKYO: One of Molly Solomon s favorite memories from the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics was watching Lindsey Vonn in the start house. Cameras would focus on the skiing great, with microphones picking up her breathing while she listened to final instructions. With no spectators in the stands during the Tokyo Games, Solomon is hoping to pick up on more of those moments.
The NBC Olympics executive producer said that the network will not add additional crowd noise to its coverage. The hope is that fans will hear the Games as they haven t been able to before, whether it is the action in the pool during swimming or conversations between competitors and coaches during gymnastics. ....
