For example, if Easter Day falls on the same day as the celebration of Richard of Chichester (Feast Day: 3 April), we celebrated Easter Day. Easter Day, a Principal Feast, takes precedence over Richard of Chichester, a Commemoration. [Feasts and Holy Days are delineated on these pages. There is also mention of a “festival” category without any explanation. I am guessing that Feasts and Holy Days together make up the category of what NZPB calls “festivals” – but, who knows… ....

Food pantry donation drive Gwynedd Square Presbyterian Church is holding a donation drive to benefit Martha’s Choice Marketplace, a food pantry located in Norristown. The organization typically serves approximately 1,000 families and 3,500 individuals each month. That number has doubled at times during the past year. Loss of jobs and income due to the pandemic has greatly affected many families. Clients must live in Montgomery County and qualify for the federally funded emergency assistance program. The items needed are size 5 and size 6 disposable baby diapers, baby wipes, paper towels, toilet paper and personal hygiene items. All amounts are acceptable, including warehouse-sized packages. Items should be dropped off at Gwynedd Square Presbyterian Church, 837 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale on Friday, April 9, from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday, April 10, from 9 a.m. to noon. This 1992 RCL is an agreed and binding formulary of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia. But, I can see no sign of this Transfiguration Sunday option – Anglican Church of Or though it is – in either the lectionary booklet or the new A New Zealand Prayer Book He Karakia Mihinare o Aotearoa 2020. Transfiguration Sunday was in the NZ Lectionary booklet as an option until 2017. The last four years it has been omitted as an option in the NZ Lectionary booklet without explanation. That it is not in the booklet, ultimately, is neither here nor there – the lectionary booklet is a varying resource, not the agreed binding formulary of our Church. What IS more concerning is that I cannot see Transfiguration Sunday as an option in the new ....
