~Florida Continues to Increase Vaccine Access to Underserved Communities~
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, the Florida Department of Health issued an update on the progress of the state’s vaccination efforts, as well as its weekly COVID-19 update. The State of Florida is in its eleventh week of vaccine distribution and is continuing to increase vaccine access statewide.
Florida continues to prioritize vaccine access to seniors by proactively identifying underserved communities where the COVID-19 vaccine may be administered.
Governor DeSantis announced the addition of six COVID-19 vaccination sites in Broward, Duval, Leon, Miami-Dade and Osceola counties to increase vaccine access in underserved communities. Each site can administer up to 200 vaccines per day to eligible populations and are open seven days a week. ....

Florida Vaccine Updates: Publix Resuming Appointment Schedule, Possible Eligibility for Teachers, Police – NBC 6 South Florida


U.S. Army Airborne Division Deploying Soldiers to Orlando to Help with Vaccination Efforts
The 101st Airborne Division will deploy about 130 soldiers to Orlando to help the government with vaccination efforts there, a press release said.
The soldiers are expected to arrive on Friday, February 26.
The press release noted the soldiers are part of the U.S. Army s larger effort to support FEMA vaccination centers.
Publix to Offer Vaccines at Miami-Dade, Broward Pharmacies
Publix will begin administering the COVID-19 vaccine at 136 pharmacies in Miami-Dade and Broward counties beginning March 1.
People 65 and over are eligible for a vaccine and can schedule an appointment starting at 7 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, through the online reservation system at publix.com/covid-vaccine/florida. ....
