5/14/2021 Florida Department of Health Provides Week 22 Updates on Florida’s Vaccination Efforts Under Governor DeSantis’ Leadership ~Pfizer vaccine now available to individuals ages 12-15~ The Florida Department of Health issued an update on the progress of the state s vaccination efforts, as well as its weekly COVID-19 update. The State of Florida is in its twenty-second week of vaccine distribution and is continuing to increase vaccine access statewide. As of today, at 7 a.m., 9,481,581 individuals have been vaccinated for COVID-19 in Florida; 3,762,475 million are seniors ages 65 and older. State-supported vaccination sites that offer the Pfizer vaccine began administering the Pfizer vaccine to individuals ages 12 – 15, in addition to those ages 16 and older. All individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at state-supported vaccination sites to receive a vaccine. 5/10/2021 Florida Department of Health Provides Week 21 Updates on Florida’s Vaccination Efforts Under Governor DeSantis’ Leadership ~Over 9 million Floridians have been vaccinated~ The Florida Department of Health issued an update on the progress of the state s vaccination efforts, as well as its weekly COVID-19 update. The State of Florida is in its twenty-first week of vaccine distribution and is continuing to increase vaccine access statewide. As of today, at 7 a.m., 9,149,171 individuals have been vaccinated for COVID-19 in Florida; 3,724,743 million are seniors ages 65 and older. The one-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine is now available at an additional 11 state-supported vaccination sites in Broward, Hillsborough, Duval, Miami-Dade, Osceola and Palm Beach counties. A total of 14 state-supported vaccination sites statewide now offer the Johnson and Johnson vaccine for all individuals ages 18 and older. 4/25/2021 Florida Department of Health Provides Week 19 Updates on Florida’s Vaccination Efforts Under Governor DeSantis’ Leadership ~State opens four additional state-supported vaccination sites to increase vaccine access~ The Florida Department of Health issued an update on the progress of the state s vaccination efforts, as well as its weekly COVID-19 update. The State of Florida is in its nineteenth week of vaccine distribution and is continuing to increase vaccine access statewide. The state will continue to issue updates regarding the use of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. The state remains prepared to continue all current state vaccination efforts. Governor DeSantis’ administration is taking the necessary steps to ensure the vaccine gets administered as quickly as possible. This week, new actions to continue Florida’s proactive approach to vaccinations includes the following:
