But as Rodriguez fled the scene, multiple bullet holes were left behind, piercing the driver s window and fenders of the police cruiser Ledyard had just exited with gun drawn. Within just a handful of seconds, the driver begins shooting at our officer. The officer is able to return fire while taking cover, Bruno said. . It started with a Feb. 5 fight among about 20 people in Five Points. It ended with the arrests of two men on weapons charges after the discovery of two loaded rifles in the bushes nearby, the Jacksonville Sheriff s Office said. Witnesses said they were brazenly walking down the street with rifles in plain sight. The two men were arrested early Feb. 6, before they could return to the scene of the fight in the 1000 block of Park Street with the weapons and before it could have been national news, Sheriff s Office Director Mike Bruno said.
